Sarasota resident John Pyle, who is known for running marathons with a large American flag, has finally returned from his 83-day, 3,144-cross country run from San Francisco to Key West.
A noted patriot, Pyle will share stories of his run this Memorial Day weekend at Fit2Run, University Center.
Pyle began his run Feb. 28 and returned on May 20, with the goal of raising awareness and funds for The Wounded Warrior Project.
The first 200 guests will receive signed American flags. Call 358-5100.
