Chase Burchett, a senior at Riverview High School, holds a 4.29 GPA, plans to study mechanical engineering at the University of Central Florida and has been selected twice for the United Soccer Association’s (USA) All-Star team.
It’s no wonder he received a $750 Joan Judd Scholarship April 22 at the USA 2009 scholarship banquet in Tampa. The scholarship honors student athletes who have excelled in academics and soccer.
Burchett was the only Sarasota County resident selected for this award.
