More than 250 community members attended the Sarasota-Manatee Jewish Federation’s celebration of Yom HaZikaron, Israel Remembrance Day, and Yom HaAtma’ut, Israel Independence Day, Sunday, April 26.
The event remembered Israeli fallen soldiers and victims of terrorism with a poetry reading, moment of silence and the singing of “Jerusalem of Gold.”
Following the commemoration, Israeli dance theater troupe Re-Vital kicked things up a notch for an intense, celebratory performance. The group flew in especially for the event.
