Wedding dresses and wings — it’s got the perfect ring to it.
You’d think that Karis Lynch, owner of Sarasota Brides, wouldn’t have let her customers touch the selection of wedding dresses with a 10-foot-pole after consuming saucy barbecue wings, but Lynch came to work prepared — “I’ve got hand sanitizer,” she said.
Lynch hosted a Sarasota-style “Running of the Brides” event April 18 and April 19, filling rack after rack with designer wedding gowns, originally priced in the thousands. Marked down to between $199 and $599, Lynch hoped the event would provide the same energy as renowned Filene’s bridal events.
Each bride was allowed 15 to 30 minutes to make her selections and try on up to three dresses, at which point most declared, “This is the one,” or “ Next dress, please.”
Brides received $25 gift certificates and a chance to win a $250 certificate for future purchases at Sarasota Brides and The Karis Collection main store.
