+ Dance, dance resurrection
Faith Lutheran Church of Sarasota, 7750 Beneva Road, will host a performance by The Resurrection Dance Theatre of Haiti at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 25. The troupe consists of children who were forced into slave labor and then rescued from life on the streets.

The troupe has performed for the Pope and in numerous venues, including the Kennedy Center.

“They are amazingly gifted in physical interpretation of dance, and their dances express their personal struggles and triumphs,” said the Rev. Stephen Winemiller, of Faith Lutheran.
