Every penny helps. After holding a penny drive for Haiti that lasted just more than one week, The Out-Of-Door Academy Lower School Student Council collected $1,110.43. “Pennies for Port-au-Prince” helped to send several Sarasota doctors to Haiti to aid in disaster relief.
Wanting to personally thank the students for their contributions and to let them know how they had helped the people of Haiti, the doctors attended an on-campus assembly Feb. 5.
