+ Crazy crêpes sizzle on griddle
Roverta Winn sprinkles fresh mozzarella cheese onto a savory crêpe before adding mushrooms and a dollop of tomato-garlic sauce. Winn and her daughter, Natalia, of Roverta Crazy Crêpes, sold crêpes at the Phillippi Farmhouse Market’s grand opening and ribbon-cutting Wednesday, Jan. 13, at Phillippi Estate Park.
The market, which will take place every Wednesday from noon to dusk, promotes local growers and agriculturally related products such as plants, produce and prepared foods. Shoppers, many of whom brought their dogs, could also purchase rain barrels and get tips on gardening.
