+ A Spa and Salon moves to new location
Sarasota’s A Spa and Salon recently moved into its new location at 8830 S. Tamiami Trail. A Spa and Salon is a full-service salon, which takes pride in making beauty simple, sustainable and affordable for everyone.
The spa offers services, including a holistic approach to healthy skin, hair and nails, microderm facials, peels, waxing, tinting, hair coloring, highlighting, straightening, extensions, cutting and styling. Permanent makeup is also available, as well as specific injections and teeth whitening.
+ Jonathon Parks Architect parking garage receives international recognition
Jonathon Parks Architect has been recognized by the International Parking Institute for its design and photography of the Palm Avenue Garage in the annual Parking Professional magazine photo contest. The firm’s photographs received three of the highest honors, including the grand prize: the cover of the magazine’s January issue.
In addition to the grand prize, JPA won the “Beautiful” category, as well as the “Structure/Lot” category. The winning photo, “The Concrete Bend,” features a ballerina in the garage, which was intended to represent Sarasota’s artistic culture.
+ Cat Depot receives grants
Cat Depot recently announced that it is the recipient of two local grant awards, including $5,000 from the Mary E. Parker Foundation and $5,000 from the Edward E. and Lillian H. Bishop Foundation. The grant money will be used for operating expenses, including medical equipment and services, education programs, animal rescue funds and spay and neuter programs.
+ Blalock Walters names new principals
Blalock Walters has announced that attorneys Mary Fabre LeVine, Michael D. Magidson and Matthew R. Plummer are now principals of the firm.
LeVine practices in the areas of commercial and business litigation, primarily in the representation of businesses, lenders, title insurance claims, real-property litigation, contracts and probate and trust litigation.
Magidson is a member of the firm’s business and health-care practice groups, where he counsels clients regarding entity formation, business governance, business transactional and health-care regulatory matters.
Plummer focuses in commercial- and residential-real-estate law, with an emphasis on commercial transactions and commercial leasing.
