For the second year, Girls Inc. of Sarasota County has partnered with local organizations to help provide Christmas gifts to area families. Volunteers from Girls Inc., Concession Charities, the Community Foundation of Sarasota County, the Young Professionals Group and the Booker High School Key Club Sunday, Nov. 18, helped gift-wrap books and presents for 100 families.

Members of St. Martha Catholic Church Saturday, Nov. 17, traveled to Temple Emanu-El for its annual interfaith luncheon. Members enjoyed a meal and presentation from Sarasota Police Officer Tom Solomon about current events and interfaith relations. “This luncheon kicks off a spirit of cooperation and mutual love,” said Rabbi Brenner Glickman.
