Hundreds of people filled Main Street today when the City of Sarasota held its annual Veterans Day parade. As part of the ceremony, Bertha Palmer's great-great-granddaughter Pauline Joerger donated an American flag to fly above Selby Five Points. (VIDEO)

Senior Friendship Center celebrates 30th anniversary

The Senior Friendship Centers celebrated the 30th anniversary of their Living Room adult day services on Wednesday, Nov. 10, at Marie Selby Botanical Gardens. The Brother William Geenen Living Room was the first building in the nation to be designed and built solely for the adult day care for the frail and handicapped elderly.
