A Sarasota resident traveled to Ottawa, Canada to prepare to carry the Olympic torch.
Telisa Miller was chosen by her employer, RBC Bank, to be a torchbearer. RBC Bank’s parent company, Royal Bank of Canada, is a sponsor for the Olympic torch relay.
Miller will carry the torch Saturday through the Canadian capital on its 27,000-mile trek to Whistler, where the torch will light the Olympic flame for the start of the Winter Games Feb. 12.
