Payne Park playground temporarily closes Monday, Nov. 26 for the installation of a shade structure. The playground is expected to reopen on or before Dec. 14.
The shade structure will cover the small children's playground (ages 5-12), as well as the music area, providing relief from the sun as requested by residents. The installation will include the placement of support columns and cables and will require the entire playground to be temporarily closed.
In January, portions of the playground at 2050 Adams Lane, will be temporarily closed again to install a shade cloth over the structure. The planned closure dates are Monday, Jan. 14 to Friday, Jan. 18.
