  • There is a side effect of new construction. Each new home brings with it some "pollution" - traffic, sewage, trash and visual clutter. These are the things that impact fees are intended to compensate the community for.

This used to be a small town. You used to be able to cross the streets even if you can't run marathons. Things are changing in questionable ways.

This is not to mention the already glut of unsold property - now more than two year's worth they tell me.

  • Impact fees should be permanently suspended. The real estate taxes of new homes pay for infrastructure.
