The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office reports an armed robbery of Mayor's Jewelry occuring Tuesday evening.
According to a sheriff's office report, five men entered Mayor's Jewelry at Southgate Mall armed with hammers and a handgun. The suspects stole merchandise from the store and fled in a silver Impala type vehicle.
At around 7:04 p.m. Sarasota deputy J Adams located the vehicle traveling southbound on Interstate 75 at State Road 681.
Adams attempted to stop the robbers and a pursuit ensued. Eventually, stop sticks successfully stopped the vehicle. The five fled in different directions, but by 8:05 p.m. all suspects were arrested. The five suspects were from Miami and have been charged by the Sarasota Police Department with Armed Robbery.
The suspects are Isaac Thompson, 32, Marvin Wright, 34, Marcus Wright, 29, Godtrell Grant, 36 and Clarence Mack, 35.
