A car crash on S. Tamiami Trail near Sarasota High School sent one person to the hospital with injuries.
The car crash caused a road closure and traffic in the area this morning, but as of 10:20 a.m., the scene of the crash had been cleared, said Sarasota Police Capt. Paul Sutton.
One person was transported to Sarasota Memorial Hospital. The crash occurred at 8:46 a.m. in the 1000 block of S. Tamiami Trail.
