Coastline Volleyball will hold a placement for its mini club Aug. 18, at its facility 2204 58th Ave. E., Bradenton.
The mini club is open to girls, ages 9 through 14, of all levels that want to learn the game, improve their skills or prepare for the club season through a team experience.
Placement for will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for 11U and 12U and 1 to 3 p.m. for 13U and 14U.
Cost is $300 a player with discounts available for families with multiple players. Tentative practice dates for this year’s mini club are Aug. 18, 22, 25 and 28; Sept. 1, 4, 8, 11, 15, 18, 25 and 29; and Oct. 2.
Teams also will compete in select one-day tournaments Sept. 21 and Oct. 5 (11U and 12U) and Sept. 22 and Oct. 6 (13U and 14U) in Orlando.
All participants need to register for an AUU membership, which runs Sept. 1 through Aug. 31. Visit AAUsports.org to register.

The holiday season hasn’t officially started until our favorite bell ringers return to their posts.
