Sarasota County deputies arrested five Fort Lauderdale residents today in connection with five vehicle burglaries.

Two women reported to the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office that their vehicles were burglarized at roughly 7 p.m. Tuesday near Funtastics Gymnastics & Cheerleading. Deputies determined the suspects were using credit cards stolen from those vehicles and three other vehicles from Twin Lakes Park, at the Cattleman Road Walmart.

Deputies arrested Marcus Thomas, Christopher Pierre, Jackie McBurrows, Lionel Bain Jr. and Nick Arline on a total of 49 charges. Detectives are still seeking a suspect seen using one of the stolen cards at a CVS on Clark Road.
