The Fread, Hernandez, Kauffman, Kleinbriel and Krause families will each have a new home this weekend.
After working in partnership with volunteers for 300 to 500 hours and completing 29 hours of classes in money management, parenting skills, home maintenance and other life skills, the families are buying their homes with a low down payment and will make monthly payments on a 30-year zero-interest loan.
Northern Trust, Habitat for Humanity Sarasota, Inc., Eluned and Edward Russell Charitable Foundation, the Fairy Godmothers and the Franklin G. Foundation, J.P. Morgan Chase and Wilson-Wood Foundation, have sponsored the homes.
The dedication ceremony is open to the public and will be held at Rhodes Avenue and 6th Street in Jordan’s Crossing. For more information, call 365-0700.
