G.WIZ — The Science Museum announced Monday that Molly Demeulenaere has been appointed to the position of museum director.
Demeulenaere moved to Sarasota from Naples in 2001 after graduating from Edison Community College with a bachelor’s degree in biology.
Following a seven-year tenure with the Sarasota County Arts Council and serving as producer of Art Day, Arts Night and the Amazing Arts Race — including working with Rambunktious Productions, an event-production company, to produce events for more than 20 nonprofits — Demeulenaere is switching back over to the world of science.
“G.WIZ is now giving me a fabulous opportunity to express my commitment to advancing science, education and the arts, which are all wonderfully intertwined,” Demeulenaere said in a press release.
