A move is in the works for The Child Protection Center. A groundbreaking ceremony for the Child Advocacy Center, the new home for Sarasota’s CPC, was held Thursday, April 23, at 720 S. Orange Ave.
The Pillar of Hope Child Advocacy Center will be a child-friendly environment where abused children can receive comprehensive assessments and services under one roof instead of separate locations.
The new location should strengthen initial assessments, the development of case plans and, ultimately, have a direct bearing on judicial decisions related to permanency planning, criminal prosecutions and children’s health and safety.
