Sarasota County will celebrate “Try Transit Day” April 25, with free rides on regular fixed-route and express buses and an open house in downtown Sarasota.
The Florida Department of Transportation Commuter concurrently celebrates “Commuter Services Day,” with a joint open house from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. near the fountain at First Street and Lemon Avenue. The county and FDOT will provide information about alternative forms of transportation to support the state’s “Go Green $ave Green” campaign during the event.
