- This was a really good forum, lots of questions because of the format, and the questions fit the one asked so we could hear in more detail what they thought. Chapman did best. Atwell wisely distanced herself from Dorfman and his "team" idea. Dorfman did okay until the question to him about bringing business to town. It was answered only after the moderator pressed him to admit that in four years he had not brought any business to town. He tried to doge it with the no Starbucks on the north trail smoke (does he have any idea how many places on north trail where you can get coffee, and that most are local businesses). It went downhill for him from there. Audience questions to him took him to task for his attitude. The whole forum is now posted on the web as video and as audio, catch it if you can.

The holiday season hasn’t officially started until our favorite bell ringers return to their posts.
Shoppers and residents were treated to some holiday harmonies by the Senior Friendship Centers’ group, the Second Wind Harmonica Players, in Downtown Sarasota.
