A month after Sarasota city commissioners denied the proposal for a Walmart Supercenter at Ringling Shopping Center, tenants discovered anti-Wal-Mart graffiti in the property’s parking lot April 3.
Jason Geers, manager of DG Ace Hardware, said the neon orange spray-paint on a white truck in the parking lot must have appeared overnight. Profane messages demeaning the company fill two sides of the truck’s trailer.

- Walmart should just goodbye to Sarasota. The disrespect they receive for the tax revenue and the jobs they will create is beyond comprehension. Instead of f... Walmart, more appropriately f... Sarasota. There are many other venues for their great business services.
