  • The invasive tree, the Australian Pine, is a short rooted, fast growing tree
with serious implications for Lido Key residents. There are dead pines standing that fire hazard, particularly in dry weather. In the presence of high winds
these trees can fall, obscuring roads-particularly dangerous with storms
and hurricane season approaching. The invasive species can chock out natural species. Property values can be impacted as the trees can grow to 100 feet, obscuring views for many Lido Key condos.
