- I appreciate the article about Dr. Steve Newman and the wonderful connections he and the team from Faith Lutheran Church have made in Haiti. Dr. Steve and Pastor Steve are truly inspiring leaders. I could not agree more with the substance of Loren Mayo's article, especially the final quote, "There's bravery and dignity and inner beauty with Haitian people." Their faith is unquenchable and that faith fuels their will to survive and to rise above the devastation of their country.
