WEEKEND BEST BEST: Annual Orchid Society Show and Sale

Prepare to be serenaded by a symphony of orchids this weekend as part of the Sarasota Orchid Society’s annual show and sale. Head to the Sarasota Municipal Auditorium from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, to experience this 56th annual show and sale.
The event will showcase thousands of award-winning orchids in displays created by orchid vendors and local orchid societies. A variety of orchids and orchid-related accessories will also be available for purchase from expert orchid growers and artists from Florida. Cost is $5 or $1 with a student ID. Call 366-3010.
