Before Christmas break, the Sarasota Observer asked the students of three classes to write Santa and let him know what they hope to see under the tree Christmas morning. After publication, Observer staffers will mail the letters to the North Pole.

Dear Santa,
Have you ever seen a child smile as big as the sun. Well if you give me a video game my face will lite up like a Christmas tree. I want a video game because it will help me learn football, help me know how to throw the football, and so, I know how to kick a football and it’s good for my family because they can hang out with me. So they don’t have to hear me fight with my sister. To begin with, I want a video game. I play football all day long and I want to learn more football. One day after school I went to Marley’s house and he had that game that I wanted and I played with him and it was a fantastic game.

In addition, I want a video game because my parents don’t hear me fight with my sister. One day I was fighting with my sister and she pulled my ears and it hurt. That’s why I want a video game. In conclusion I want a video game.

Dear Santa,
Christmas is love, I believe that all children should find happiness on this holiday. We should express love and joy today and all days of the year.

Dear Santa, This year I want something greater than toys and video games. I want endangered animals to be safe. I wish for an end to wars and to pray for peace. Also, I hope all sick people will find cures and be healthier. I believe.

Dear Santa,
Pictcher this: me running downstairs opening presents as fast as I can. You can see me do that if you get me a go-cart. That would be good for me and I would not crash the car. It would be good for my familie so I could put on a show.

For one thing, I want a go-cart to help me train for a car. One time I went over to my friend David’s house and drove his go-cart around the circle and I was good.

Next, a go-cart would be good for my family because one time my mom said, “Go outside and play.” I said, “But, I do not have a toy to play with?” She said, “Go and run.” I said, “But I do not want to.” She said, “OK.” In conclusion, I would apreshyat a go-cart.

Dear Santa,
How do you make your reindeer fly? I want to know how you make your reindeer fly. Maybe you use magic dust. I don’t know how you do it, but I hear from many people that you use magic dust, so I want to find out if you do use it. Can you really make your reindeer fly?

Love, Iris
