The Cardinal Mooney High boys basketball team cruised to an 83-25 victory over St. Stephen’s Nov. 30.
Antonio Blakeney finished with 22 points, seven rebounds and four assists to lead the way for the Cougars. Jamie Glasser added 13 points and Blair Perry had 11 points.
+ SMA tops Venice Christian
The Sarasota Military Academy boys basketball team defeated Venice Chrisitian 53-43 Nov. 30.
Josh Beckmann had 16 points and nine rebounds to pace the Eagles. Josh Hugg added 10 points and five rebounds.
+Sarasota Christian handles St. Petersburg Canterbury
Blake Morrow scored 27 points to lead the Sarasota Christian boys basketball team to a 68-31 victory over St. Petersburg Canterbury Nov. 30.
Henry Ford added 10 points for the Blazers.
+ Riverview breezes past North Port
The Riverview High boys basketball team breezed to a 62-45 victory over North Port Nov. 30.
Austin Walker had 17 points and Vic Sinopoli added 15 points to lead the way for the Rams. Nick Havener added nine points, 18 rebound and six blocks.
+ Lady Cougars hold Lady Falcons to two buckets
The Cardinal Mooney girls basketball team rolled to 47-4 victory over St. Stephen’s Nov. 30.
Camille Giardina had 20 points, four assists and four steals to pace the Lady Cougars. Bridget Walsh added 14 points.
+Booker earns first district win
The Booker High girls basketball team earned its first district win of the season with a 50-26 victory over Berkeley Prep Nov. 30.
Shakaria Ige scored 19 points and Krystal Davis added 16 points for the Lady Tornadoes.
+ Sarasota Christian dismantles district rival
The Sarasota Christian girls basketball team cruised to a 63-26 victory over district rival Canterbury School Nov. 30.
Mckenzie Lantz paced the way for the Lady Blazers with 24 points. Jamie Weaver added 14 points.
