Mote announces new trustee and advisory council chairman

Mote Marine Laboratory announced that Penelope Kingman is its board of trustee’s newest voting member, and Rande Ridenour has been elected as chairman of Mote’s Advisory Council.
Kingman, a Longboat Key resident, has volunteered in sea-turtle care at Mote Aquarium since 2006. In the past year, she has served on boards of directors for Art Center Sarasota and the Longboat Key Democratic Club.
Ridenour has served on Mote’s Advisory Council since January 2008. He has worked as a financial planner in Sarasota for 29 years, the past eight of which he has spent at UBS Wealth Management, where he is currently first vice president.
