Last October, President Barack Obama shopped for pumpkins at the First United Methodist Church’s parking lot pumpkin patch, while on the campaign trail.
It’s unknown whether any public figures will surprise us this Halloween, but the church invites everyone to pick out his or her favorite pumpkin from noon until sundown, Saturday Oct. 17 through Saturday, Oct. 31, at 104 S. Pineapple Ave.
Proceeds from the pumpkin patch, sponsored by the church youth group, will help to fund the group’s mission projects and trips.
