+ Life Skills
Seventh- through 12th-graders at NewGate School recently participated in Internship Week. Students worked at local businesses and nonprofits such as the Cat Depot, Audrey’s Jamaican Cuisine, Ashton Animal Clinic and many others. NewGate School requires all its students in the Secondary Program to complete a one-week internship each year. This allows students to learn about businesses and various career paths while equipping them with practical life skills.
