Registration under way for Gulf Coast Senior Games

Registration is now being accepted for the 21st annual Gulf Coast Senior Games. The event promotes health and wellness in the senior population and is put on by Sarasota and Manatee counties.
The games will take place Feb. 16 through Feb. 21. Events offered are archery, badminton, basketball, bocce, bowling, cribbage, cycling, golf, horseshoes, racquetball, a 5K run, shuffleboard, swimming, table tennis, tennis and track-and-field. For a complete listing of events and times, call 861-5000 or visit any Sarasota County Recreation Center for a registration booklet.
To register, visit www.parksonline.scgov.net, mail in a completed entry form from a registration booklet or register in person at Twin Lakes Park, 6700 Clark Road. Entry fees are $12, and all participants will receive a free T-shirt. There is registration fee of $3 per event to compete.
