The Sarasota City Commission decided at 8 p.m. Monday to keep the controversial parking meters in place, despite pleas from more than 50 merchants that packed the Commission Chambers with bags in their hands and on their heads.

St. Martha's held a Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory themed father daughter dance, Friday, Feb. 3, inside the school's cafeteria. The evening included, food, dancing, a bubble room, raffle prizes, fun house mirrors and plenty of candy.
