Sarasota Walk brings out walkers and raises awareness

The Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Foundation held its sixth annual walkathon Saturday, Nov. 13. The walk started at J.D. Hamel Park, in Sarasota, with a few quick speakers, including Sarasota Mayor Kelly Kirschner.

Golf Tournament raises funds for vets

The Stoneybrook Golf and Country Club hosted the 7th annual Armed Forces Cup on Friday, Nov. 12. This year the tournament, which had 84 participants, raised over $4000 for the Sarasota VA Medical Clinic.

Over 80 people attended the fourth annual Veterans Day luncheon at the Glenridge on Thursday afternoon. Many who were in attendance were veterans from a variety of different wars and served in many different capacities.
