Dana Minison and Jessica Davis, hospitality and restaurant management students at University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee, put their culinary talents to the test when they crafted a USF-themed gingerbread house for a contest held Thursday, Dec. 3, at Westfield Sarasota Square Mall.
Attendees were given an opportunity to vote for their favorite house by placing donations in containers in front of the gingerbread houses. Proceeds from the event benefited Community Youth Development, an organization that provides positive activities for middle and high school students in Sarasota County.
