A car crash that was blocking traffic on Interstate 75 Monday morning has been cleared.
The crash occurred at 7:58 a.m. Monday morning at Interstate 75 and the Bee Ridge Road exit (mile marker 207), according to the Florida Highway Patrol. Three people were transported to the hospital.
The crash occurred when the driver of a Hyundai Sonata failed to stop for traffic and crashed into a stopped vehicle, the FHP crash report shows. That vehicle was pushed into another car.
The driver of the Hyundai was cited for Careless Driving.
