Swine flu vaccines will be available to more children beginning Friday.
The Sarasota County Health Department will provide the shots to kids from 6 months of age to those in fifth grade from 3-7 p.m., Friday, Nov. 13, at Ashton, Emma E. Booker and Tuttle elementary schools in North County and at Cranberry and Garden elementary schools and Laurel-Nokomis School in South County.
The vaccines will also be available to children 6 months of age to those in 12th grade from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 14, at the county’s health department office, 2200 Ringling Blvd., and the Children’s Health Center, 1750 17th St., Building E, Sarasota, in North County and at Laurel Nokomis School in South County.
Middle- and high-school students with parental-consent forms will be able to get vaccinated at their own schools later this month.

Each day of the week had a different theme: Monday was red-white-and-blue day, Tuesday was pajama day, Wednesday was favorite-sports-team day and Thursday is career day. -
