  • So lets see here,The #1 retail chain in the world wanted to revamp a very old site and make it a safe zone for all who comes on the property and they were denied , i would bet that they will OK some rundown retailers ( sex shop)? or how about a smoke shop , ya thats our Sarasota

  • Sometimes Towns violate or abuse their own zoning regulations and that is why there is an appeals process afforded to citizens. Bravo to the judge who understood this and ruled that Wal-mart did receive due process.

  • Coming from the same city and neighbor leaders that gave us a 40 acre dessert of grass w/2 ponds hidden in the back, instead of in the center of the track. Fun place to be when its 94 degrees out. Please give me more leadership like this.

    The city of Sarasota shoots down another project and another building goes dark. The whole north side of Tamiami Trail is in disbelief, say the pimps and prostitutes.
