The young people of Temple Sinai, in Sarasota, started off the Jewish New Year with the Mitzvah — a good deed of sharing.
The directors of the Gan Early Care Program, the Religious School and the temple’s youth groups assisted the Social Action Committee by requesting that all students bring a book from home to be donated to HIPPY (Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters). Children from the Gan helped pack up 115 books — an example of giving from one child to another.
