Delmar Smith, the man suspected in at least four violent home invasions, has been transferred to the Sarasota County Jail to face those charges.
Smith, 38, had been held in the Pinellas and Citrus county jails where he was being held on federal charges of violation of probation.
He’s charged with home invasions on Carmilfra Drive, Osage Terrace, Whispering Sands Drive and Bougainvillea Street.
Investigators are trying to link him to more home invasion attacks in Sarasota and Manatee counties, including the April 5 attack on Jo-An Drive in which 37-year-old Georgann Smith was killed.
