About 450 students at St. Martha’s Catholic School dressed in shades of pink Tuesday, Oct. 20. Working together — with a little help from their teachers — the students formed the shape of the ribbon symbol for breast-cancer awareness.
The St. Martha National Junior Honor Society is raising awareness and funds to benefit breast-cancer research by participating in Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Saturday, Oct. 24, at the Sarasota Polo Club.
Communities and families are invited to participate in the event to honor breast-cancer survivors, to remember those who lost their lives to the disease and to raise funds and awareness to find a cure.
