- No reason to have a roundabout at this location. Leave the traffic light there. Eliminate this roundabout and don't put any buildings at this beautiful location.
- A simulation video of how boat trailers would enter and exit the Centennial Park boat ramp is posted at http://us41momentum.com/2014-10th-14th.
And a video at http://sarasotaconnectivity.com/videos/ by the New York DOT on how a large vehicle (longer than boat trailer&pulling vehicle) easily move through a roundabout (the one shown is single lane, US41 at 10th will be multi-lane), and note how other vehicles work with the moving oversized load. Also, the multimodal corridor from University Parkway is addressed at www.US4 Momentum.com. The modern roundabouts look good to us at 10th and 14th Streets; may be an issue with entry/exit the launch area and parking therein for City to resolve. Roundabouts are ideal U-Turns for big vehicles and so may be an aid to entry for northbound bound boats U-turning at 14th to enter with a southbound approach.
