The County Commission will hold a public hearing Oct. 13 on a proposed name change for South Lido Park.
A naming committee is recommending the name “Ted Sperling Park at South Lido Beach.” Sperling was a former city commissioner who was a leading force in the effort to purchase South Lido Beach.
County commissioners can choose that name or another one that they prefer.
The name-changing process began after a citizen suggested creating an enhanced name for the park.
