City Commissioners will vote today on a proposed $605,000 agreement with the Sarasota Opera concerning the coming Palm Avenue parking garage.
The opera has agreed to release the 1.5-acre parking easement between the back of its building and the lot where the garage will be built.
In exchange, the city would give the Sarasota Opera $605,000 in TIF funds and an annual allotment of 1,077 parking permits in the garage for three years.
The opera would then receive those parking permits at a cost of $45 to $50 each for the next seven years.

- it seems to me it would only be right that marina jack ante up the money for testing the mooring field. marina jack benefits from the field and all our parking in the park.
