Andrew Berberich bonded out of Sarasota County Jail after being charged in the theft of a boat propellor and stole kayaks in Lee County less than a month later, according to a Sarasota Police Department news release.
Sarasota Police arrested Berberich, 24, and his brother Spencer Berberich, 19, for stealing a 35-pound brass boat propellor from the Condominium on the Bay in August. The older Berberich bailed himself out of jail and allegedly stole eight kayaks valued at more than $20,000 from Estero River Outfitters in Lee County.
A police sting ended with Andrew Berberich's arrest earlier this week.
