Sarasota County is offering several flu-shot clinics throughout the county. Health officials say the shots are for everyone 6 months of age and older. The cost will be from $20 to $30.
However, these vaccinations will not protect against the H1N1 (swine) flu. Those vaccinations won’t be available until mid-October at the earliest.
No appointment is needed at the following dates and locations:
•10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Sept. 16, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 2506 Gulf Gate Drive, Sarasota
•10 a.m. to noon Friday, Sept. 18, at Sarasota Baptist Church, 7091 Proctor Road, Sarasota
•10 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Oct. 13, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, 425 Tamiami Trail, Osprey
