Scott Sebor, 44, of Sarasota, is accused of robbing the pizza shop on South Tuttle Avenue Sunday night.

According to the affidavit, Sebor entered the store with a large knife and demanded cash from the employees inside. The store manager and employees gave him money, and he left the store on a bicycle.

Seven witnesses at Papa John’s described Sebor to the deputies and reported the robber as being tall, thin and tan, and gave a description of his clothes, according to the press release. Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office deputies found a bicycle, Sebor’s clothing and a knife while searching for him nearby. Deputies had actually stopped Sebor that night while he was running with no shoes or shirt. They had to release him because a witness could not identify him.

Sebor told the deputies he was running barefoot because he was “a Florida boy,” according to the release.

Sebor appeared to be “nervous and sweating,” according to the affidavit.

During a later interview equipped with a photo lineup, other employees who had been closer to Sebor during the alleged robbery identified him.

The Sheriff’s Office got an arrest warrant for Sebor. He turned himself in to the county jail Thursday night.

Sebor is charged with armed robbery, bringing his total arrest record up to 13. Other crimes include aggravated stalking, cocaine trafficking and drug possession.
