The city of Sarasota’s Downtown Improvement District (DID) will meet 9 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 9 to collaborate on finding partners for promoting downtown and to figure out how to spend its marketing dollars.
The DID will review proposals for promoting the DID and supporting downtown events. In the past, finds have been spent on maps and magazine advertising.
The meeting will be held at City Hall, 1565 First St., Sarasota.

The holiday season hasn’t officially started until our favorite bell ringers return to their posts.
Shoppers and residents were treated to some holiday harmonies by the Senior Friendship Centers’ group, the Second Wind Harmonica Players, in Downtown Sarasota.
