Sarasota Brides and Formalwear participated in Brides Across America Monday, July 15. Brides Across America is a nationwide charity that provides free wedding gowns to military brides.
To qualify, brides must be engaged and on active duty in the military or have a fiancé who is on active duty in the military. The bride or their fiancé had to have been deployed in the last five years to Iraq, Afghanistan, Bahrain, Libya, Qatar, Kuwait, Korea or Japan.
The bridal shop gave away a dozen dresses. This was its second year participating, and it hopes to do it again next year.
