A woman’s boyfriend is accused of orchestrating a home invasion in which she was the victim.
Brandon Best, 24, allegedly convinced Alyssa Harnisch, 22, and her boyfriend, Justin Bachner, 23, to break into the victim’s home, tie her up and steal several items.
The crime occurred June 26, at 7868 Holiday Drive.
Detectives discovered surveillance video of the scene, which showed Best driving a getaway car for Harnisch and Bachner. Deputies who searched Harnisch and Bachner’s residence found the stolen items, as well as shotguns used during the home invasion.
Best and Harnisch were arrested, but deputies are still searching for Bachner. Anyone with information is asked to call the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office at 861-4900 or leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers at 366-TIPS.
Bachner has previous arrests for underage drinking, a DUI and driving with a suspended license. Best has a reckless driving arrest on his record. Harnisch had no previous criminal arrests in Sarasota County.
